The Hanson-Lien American Legion Post 368 has officially upgraded the hall with a newly purchased and mounted American Legion sign. This upgrade replaces our weathered predecessor, standing as a revitalized symbol of our enduring commitment to local veterans, their families, and the surrounding community. The installation, which was completed by primary volunteers Jim Olson and Chuck Embretson, marks a fresh chapter of visibility and community pride for the American Legion Post 368.

Pride on Display

The acquisition of the new sign comes as part of an ongoing effort to revitalize the post's interior and exterior; and ensure that veterans and community members can easily locate the facility. Manufactured to withstand the elements, the high-visibility emblem features the traditional American Legion markings, signifying justice, freedom, democracy, and loyalty.

For Post 368, the new installation is more than just hardware; it serves as a public beacon of the organization's enduring commitment to local service members, their families, and community outreach programs.

Teamwork Makes the Placement

A project of this weight requires careful hands, and the post called upon dedicated members. Assisting Jim Olson and Chuck Embretson was Marie Dunnigan, Post Commander and Chris Kislinger, Post Member and Mike Muth from the Hixton Fire Department. Armed with ladders, levels, and heavy-duty mounting hardware, the team spent the morning securing the sign to the building's facade.

The installation required precision alignment to ensure optimal visibility from the main roadway. Olson and Embretson successfully anchored the emblem, verifying its stability against high winds and seasonal weather changes. Thanks to teams volunteer labor, the post saved on commercial installation costs, allowing those resources to be directed back into local veteran assistance funds.
