Car Show - Labor Day Weekend - Sunday, September 6, 2026 - Hixton Wisconsin

The Hanson-Lien American Legion Post recently brought community spirit and great food to the annual Hixton Car Show, serving up classic favorites for a crowd of automotive enthusiasts.

The event proved to be a major success, drawing an impressive crowd with over 130 classic and custom cars on display. Operating entirely on a free-will donation basis, the food stand saw incredible generosity from attendees. Thanks to the overwhelming community turnout and the hard work of dedicated volunteers, the Legion post raised a profit of just under $2,200.00.

A Community-Wide Effort

The impressive fundraising total was made possible by the generosity of local businesses and community organizations. The Hanson-Lien American Legion Post extends its sincere gratitude to:

Charles Taylor and the Village Peddler for their vital donation, coordination and support.

  • Stop and Go, which generously donated $100.00 give card which purchased all the water and buns for the food stand, significantly reducing overhead costs.

  • The local 4-H volunteers, who gave their time and energy to help serve hungry event-goers throughout the day.

Supporting Local Veterans

All proceeds from the brat and burger sale will stay within the community. The funds will directly support the Hanson-Lien American Legion Post's ongoing mission to assist local veterans, fund youth programs, and contribute to community betterment initiatives in the Hixton area.
